Pros

The greatest part of Pariveda is the fantastic culture. Everyone cares about everyone else's personal development and commitment to interesting work. Your career goals and what you want to become (as long as you express it!) are valued highly by the management team, and opportunities are provided for you to become a well-rounded expert in what you want to excel at. Finally, the management team is ridiculously approachable. I've played video games with the office manager after hours!

Cons

As with any consulting job, you may end up with work that you're not 100% in love with from time to time. However, unlike most companies, it's okay and you should express that to your management, and they will legitimately do what they can to give you interesting work! Additionally, you have to be expressive of what you want to do or where you want to end up (like with most jobs) to get interesting work and to develop in what you love. Finally, the pay is less initially than industry software engineering, but the development and payoff in the long run is worth it (plus you'll move a lot faster).

Pros

Incredible peer group. It’s like the kids from all your honors programs in one place. Yet at Pariveda they’re all cool, interesting, and collaborative. The environment is set up so people are not in competition with each other. You earn promotion on your merits and a transparent framework. If you dedicate yourself, there is no place where you can grow faster than at Pariveda.

Cons

The personal demands can be high. It’s not a “60 hours a week” high. More like: intensely focusing on personal growth, always seeking to learn, helping others grow is an intense mindset. Plus, you look around and the baseline bar is really high Pariveda is in a state of change. That change is bringing some chaos and morale issues.
