Pros

While it can vary from project to project, overall work-life balance is very reasonable (40 hours/wk billable, 5-10 nonbillable depending on seniority and role). People live up to mission statement more often than not (help people develop to their fullest potential) - his happens through mentoring, active management, plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. An individual project/client may only help you grow in a subset of ways you want to, but over time it and across projects it largely evens out. Pariveda does a great job at hiring above-average people who are kind and pleasant to work with

Cons

Pay seems to be higher than market averages in Dallas, Houston, etc. and on the low end for markets like San Francisco and New York - makes attracting talented people more difficult, which limits office growth. You have little control over the projects you're on and the type of work you're doing can vary a lot from client to client - good if you like learning new things and growing in new ways, not conducive to becoming deep in any particular area without significant time spent outside of billable hours. While benefits are OK they aren't great - parental leave is much shorter than at most local tech companies, 401K match is standard but nothing to write home about, etc.

Pros

Incredible peer group. It’s like the kids from all your honors programs in one place. Yet at Pariveda they’re all cool, interesting, and collaborative. The environment is set up so people are not in competition with each other. You earn promotion on your merits and a transparent framework. If you dedicate yourself, there is no place where you can grow faster than at Pariveda.

Cons

The personal demands can be high. It’s not a “60 hours a week” high. More like: intensely focusing on personal growth, always seeking to learn, helping others grow is an intense mindset. Plus, you look around and the baseline bar is really high Pariveda is in a state of change. That change is bringing some chaos and morale issues.
