Pros

MTVN - CC - is a world of constant creative development. It is a collection of passionate and creative individuals that try to develop and innovate the notion of entertainment and promotion -- and even when there are colossal failures, it is understood that it is a necessary evil. The people are of all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life. As an org, there is a real effort to make sure that it is all about the creative -- and even though bias and ignorance rears it's ugly head now and again, it is born out of individual weakness and not that of the doctrine that the company tries to uphold. Overall, it is a good group of humans and a genuine effort by most.

Cons

Sometimes click-ish. Sometimes casual to a fault. Often times ruled by subjectivity, historical relationships & an elaborate approval process... and by the inherent apathetic bureaucracy of such a large group.

Pros

People who were at Paramount before the Skydance merger remain talented and amazing people.

Cons

The post-Skydance merger Paramount is an aimless corporate with zero resources, and respect for existing employees. Senior management are coming from Disney, and they’re hiring all their previous Disney colleagues, while laying off employees that have been at Paramount through ages. There has also been a shift in demographics where White men control the power. It’s disheartening to see amazing legacy leadership get demoted and sidelined in favor of incoming White male leaders from Disney. The new senior management will say things like, “We want to invest in people that will stay with us and grow,” yet layoff an entire division that have kept this company running through all the transitions. The disrespect is just ridiculous.
