      Pros

      Lots of opportunities for growth and support for future education opportunities. Great hospitals across the Nation and has a solid Trauma Levels 1 and 2 with tenured nurses and medical staff. They are willing to take GNs versus other Magnet and Beacon Hospitals. BSN is the future so plan on being BSN..

      Cons

      Meditech! Horrible EMR and it makes zero sense. Travel RNs get fired because this EMR and not because of their skills. No one likes Meditech but I believe HCA has bought the entire package over decades of partnership and Epic role out is promised by corporate in phases. Texas is supposedly first because Austin, TX is 90% Epic: Walgreens, Seton, CVS, Laboratory, and Physician offices.

      Pros

      Work from home is a plus. Hours are daytime with weekends off.

      Cons

      Terrible Manager. Makes you feel unwelcome and co workers are afraid to ask questions or stand up for themselves. Micromanaging is a huge priority to management. The pay is low and no chance of raises or bonus of any sort. You better be a fast learner as it's a one and done. If you don't understand they make you feel bad about asking questions or needing more help. New sites being added but no new hires. We just are told work harder/ faster and the expectations are You WILL get it done. High stress and constant SOP changes. An updated manual would be great. Written instructions for your position. Step by step. Not much room for advancement, only parallel positions.
