Pros

Friendly crew, ok place if you have no skills or do not expect to be well paid!

Cons

This is directed at any prospective new hires: Paper Mart is a company that greatly cares about their on-line perception, this can be seen here, when you see that their management saw all the negative (yet true) posts and started a campaign here to try an raise their ratings. The same person left the most recent positive one saying how things have changed recently, this is obvious because they used the words "Keep up the good work", (a rarely used term). And if you read through some of the other positives you will see the EXACT same words - meaning the same person is leaving those positives or they are scripted! Under this new management they laid-off between 10-15 upper & middle management people! People that had helped make the company successful, all of which worked there between 5-25 years! The new management has no idea how to run the place and if you ask ANY non-management people they will tell you it is NO LONGER a fun place to work! You will not have a long career here, as the current management has shown they will dump any long-term or highly-paid workers!

Pros

Some coworkers are kind and try to help each other. The company has been around a long time, so it may look stable from the outside.

Cons

There is no job security. Layoffs happen often. This makes people feel stressed and unsafe at work. They laid off a big group of people at the same time in a one room in the middle of a work day. Leadership is very defensive and nervous. Everyone is in hysterics all the time. Warehouse coworkers even feel it. Communication is poor, and decisions are often unclear. The company is constantly changing direction and contradicting themselves. The president is related to the founder and focuses heavily on monitoring employees instead of leading the company. This creates a culture of fear, not trust. Every leader is fearful of him. Pay is low compared to the amount of work expected. Raises and promotions are rare. There are people who worked for more than 30+ years and they aren’t even leaders. I was with them for a long time and they never tried to help me grow. The company has been getting worse for more than ten years, and many systems and processes are outdated.
