Pros

Above market salary. The product is great and really has an impact. We get lots of feedback and great stories from users about how it has changed their lives. We have/had a really great engineering and product team. Fully flexible working hours and remote working. Good work/life balance.

Cons

The company was amazing but has lost its way. Company benefits have been cut. We only have fitness subsidiary now which given a pandemic.. not that useful. No Friday lunches on the company anymore. In the past year 15 people have left, including 2 C-suite and our third HR. In the past two weeks 3 people have quit. Management says this is part of being a start up and preparing for Series A. Management say they are transparent and welcome feedback but keep making company wide decisions without consultation and giving feedback is career limiting. The new CTO wasn't interviewed by anybody for the position and in the past month has: - pushed out the previous engineering managers - made himself the technical lead on both apps - hired his mates into the company and completely ignored any feedback given from interviews The new CTOs approach is very much micromanagement, expects people to do as they are told and doesn't turn up to meetings or retro. Engineering is treated like an agency. Most of the women and LGBT colleagues have left. It is very much a bro culture and who can be the most dominant now.

Pros

Joining the company during a pandemic had no impact how warmly I was welcomed and how efficiently I was integrated in to the team. The people here are a great team of talented and engaged individuals and because Health Tech is an enormously important space to be in right now (and Pando has such promise) there is an enduring feeling of being part of something exciting.

Cons

As with any rapidly growing company, there can be growing pains. Key hires are on their way and they are needed in order ensure those niggles don't become long term injuries!
