Pros

Many warm, friendly people and various interesting international development programs across the globe in different sectors.

Cons

This organization needs a complete revamp from top to bottom. I cannot recommend looking elsewhere enough until the company makes significant shifts in corporate leadership style, investment in systems, and people and culture issues. Work life balance is nonexistent, with constant last minute proposal efforts and emergency project issues, and there are no trainings, resources, or effective systems to do all the work senior management requires. There seems to be a lack of understanding from leadership of the amount of time and effort that goes into both long and short term tasks. There are many senior level managers who oversee and and advise, yet very few are knowledgeable enough about federal contracting or have the integrity to roll their sleeves up and help when junior and mid level people are swamped and miserable. The ultimate consequence of the current situation will be programs and business development efforts that suffer and decline due to poor leadership and incompetence.

Pros

great work environment; supportive environment; lots of professional development

Cons

not a lot of job growth for everyone (only a few director roles, and not many women were in leadership roles); annoying that to get promoted you had to apply to an open position instead of getting a cycle promotion, which was more difficult to get.
