Interesting work - no team culture - Associate Palladium Employee Review

Pros

Programme and technical work is varied and interesting, and typically quite fast paced. Palladium’s size makes it easy to move laterally at junior/mid levels and get experience across a variety of areas of the business. Individual people at most levels are very happy to help and support new starters. Department leads are considerate of your interests and “no-go”s when assigning work/projects.

Cons

There is not really a company culture - any relationships with colleagues need to come organically as the organisation doesn’t really facilitate that. Palladium expects a lot of overtime. Time off in lieu is available, but not a given. It can also be hard to maintain a work/life balance when you are on a BD assignment. Senior and department managers do seem to play favourites - if you are “in” you will get good and interesting work, but it if not you can get passed the work no one else wanted.

Pros

great work environment; supportive environment; lots of professional development

Cons

not a lot of job growth for everyone (only a few director roles, and not many women were in leadership roles); annoying that to get promoted you had to apply to an open position instead of getting a cycle promotion, which was more difficult to get.
