Pros

Great combination of education meets social work environment.

Cons

Specifically, if you are a minority (Black or darker Hispanic) the Miami location is not a good place to work. The management operates out of white privilege and the opinions of minorities are not considered as valid or discarded easily. It is apparent when the leader calls some "my girls" and others gives them ideas to share. HR is not helpful in these situations. They are dismissive and condescending. They are truly the definition to protect the employer and not the employee.

Pace Center For Girls Response

It is unfortunate that you had a bad experience at the PACE Miami location. PACE prides itself on recruiting and hiring a diverse team throughout the organization. The Miami leadership team has consisted of Caucasian, Black, and Hispanic ethnicities since it was opened in 2014. The staff in each of our centers should reflect the community that we work with. We also value diversity in thought. We want to hear the ideas and perspectives of all. We believe this how we have and will continue t o offer the best services to PACE Girls.
