Pros
Overall this is a good company to work for. Although there are well over 1,200 employees, there are a lot of opportunities for advancement. Since the company is continuously growing (and has been every year I believe since the early 90's), new positions are being added all of the time as business needs call for them. This allows motivated, driven employees drive their own career path which is rare for large companies. There is also daily interaction and contact with Director level management which allows you to really prove yourself to those that matter. If you like variety and a fast pace environment this is the company for you.
Cons
This company performs all 3rd party testing and the competition is extensive. Not only does this mean that Pace needs to output a quality product at all times, but it also forces them to drive prices for their services lower that they would hope. Although they have a good continuous improvement system, the profit margins can easily suffer therefore salary, wage and benefits cost must stay low. Unfortunately, this means that the pay and benefits are not above average. They certainly reward those that stay with the company, but for those starting off in their careers (0-5 years experience) they would likely find higher salaries somewhere else.
