Pros
- You can consider my review as I have spent almost 8 years in this company. - No work load and you can enjoy the life to fullest as long as manager is your friend. - Work in PTC India is PURE maintenance kind, release cycles are at least 6 months.
Cons
- DEAD tech stack in almost every product. - HR Dept is for name sake, total waste people. - As it is product company, many old employees have settled like a govt job and are friends with managers, so you will never get any recognition as you will be defeated by the experience that they have in the product and business. - Almost every product is an ancient monolith with no signs to include/shift to new stacks, so your technical skills will be rusted and eventually your confidence will be ZERO. - After this you can not go out, you got to listen managers and wait for the firing event. This is reality, there are many waiting in this situations, because of some or the other reasons. - There are groups of managers who work in nexus to control things like who gets in, who gets fired, etc. - No one cares about your growth etc. - Dont fall for some Hi-Fi wording in the job descriptions, it is copied and actual work is OLD stack ONLY! - There was almost no support during Covid19 situations. - For married women this is like HEAVEN, no work pressure, take leaves, enjoy the almost free salary as long as you plan the things WELL, you know what I mean ;) - Company full of white elephants - As all the main people sit either in US or UK or Canada, you have to attend late meetings, demos and that is not optional. - I would NEVER recommend a technical person to this company.
