Pros

If you would currently describe yourself as "desperate", this might be the place for you. Great place for ex cons, recent immigrants, or ESL persons. If you can hardly understand English, you can happily stand being belittled on a regular basis. Starts at a living wage as of 2017.

Cons

Your time here will start with a good old bait and switch when PT offers you 19/hr only for it to become 16/hr the first day of training. Little to no room for growth, you're starting at a dead end. Patrons and coworkers constantly bring in new and exotic illnesses from near and far, everyone is perpetually sick. Laughably tiny paid time off and sick leave accruals. Just enough for PT to be able to tell its endless parade of new hires that they offer "benefits". Management is hired internally and very low quality, they have obediently counted chips for years, not necessarily skilled at management. Kissing up and flirting is rewarded, childish/cliquish workplace. Moody coworkers/management/patrons reeking of body odor, cigarettes, and alcohol accepted as "normal" here. Expect regular and overtly hostile micromanagement. Mandatory OT and constant location/shift changes due to heavy turnover. On top of the "corporation" itself being best described as a confederation of gambling addicts. The physical work place of a casino is extremely restrictive and dirty. Cannot bring a bag/backpack. Cannot bring a lunch/food. Filthy bathrooms are regularly closed down. It goes on and on. I honestly regret telling myself it would get better over and over, spent nearly two years learning nothing new and making little to no personal progress. It doesn't get better at PTG, you get numb to the abusive environment or you find a better job elsewhere.
