Pros

I enjoyed my co-workers, they were extremely nice and caring! A free gym membership.

Cons

The food is pretty expensive, but it was possibly expensive in my eyes based on how much I was getting paid by the hour. When I applied for the position I was hired based on my gender, the job qualification stated that a female was needed in order to apply for the position. For things such as taking the little girls to the bathroom and things like that. So with that in mind, I wasn't presented with the best offer that it felt as though my male co-workers were given because this sector was male-dominated. I should dove a little more into my pay, but being a young woman with two men in the room stating why I deserved to be paid $12 an hour I feel as though I chocked. (it may appear that I'm privileged enough to receive $12 an hour but living in the Seattle area a higher minimum wage should be given to employers, based on the cost of living). I wasn't presented with many hours during the week, I was normally given work on the weekends when they had their Family Fun days. But I was also hired as a soccer coach and not once was given the opportunity to fulfill the duties of that job. So I view them presenting me with both the Event Specialist position, and soccer coach position should have given me an incentive to accept the job. And being a young and naive kid I had accepted the job. In addition to that, management was never present and involved. I don't feel as though they really acknowledge their employees meaning it appeared as though they carried this job as a means to socialize. And not really gave their all to their job, and made sure everything was structured properly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience during your employment at PRO Club. We’re disappointed that you felt it was not a beneficial job. Our pay scale is based on experience and not gender. We also complete a competitive analysis on similar jobs in the local area to make sure we are offering a fair and competitive wage. Additionally, we hope that the benefit of receiving a club membership, service discounts, wellness perks, an amazing holiday party, and a World Class facility also offers additional value to all our employees. During the interview process, compensation is presented upfront to make sure both parties are aware and may negotiate. We understand that negotiation may be uncomfortable and we’re sorry that you felt uneasy about discussing this. We have sent your feedback to our management team and HR teams so that they are aware of any opportunities that may improve the clarity and comfort for future applicants. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Pros

Friendly staff, supportive day-to-day culture, and big events that are legitimately impressive and enjoyable.

Cons

Small teams carrying a massive workload. Payroll issues happened more than they should. Uniforms weren’t my favorite.
