Pros

401K is really good--dollar to dollar match up to 5% I believe, a handful of friends in lots of departments who were coworkers, & ability to climb corporate ladder (if you're into that! be prepared to kiss booties to people less competent then you and be stressed out every single day!), try to work downtown..I've heard the environment is much different

Cons

Horrible leadership...unqualified managers who were promoted based on a popularity not based on skills, I was told that a job posting that had foreign language requirements was "not really necessary" Vastly underpaid employees across the board---try to negotiate because they are running out of people in Pittsburgh to hire After the acquisition of Azko Nobel and the SAP change this company has had a scarlet letter on it...no one knows the new system and no one is willing to help you, including with large accounts like The Home Depot Company environment is miserable---only a handful of people are willing to make it fun, this is definitely not an environment for young professionals in today's century, most groups that are formed are completely unfunded and bogus, no one wants to participate in Wellness functions and every 8th person is grossly overweight There's so much more but I've tried to block it out of mind to be honest. You've been warned....if you are considering Customer Relations be prepared to answer 120 calls per day or more, if you are considering any other position be prepared to be overworked and scrutinized daily

Pros

Acceptable 401K matching with immediate vesting as well as an age based deferred compensation program that has a 3 year vesting period. Standard benefits and pay consistent with industry. Acceptable safety practices defined and adhered to throughout organization.

Cons

Moderately high turnover (at least my division). Inconsistent treatment of employees (flex time allowed for some employees but not others in same work category, some employees told to use personal car or phone for work activities while others get in trouble for same type of work activity, allowing some employees the options to apply and move internally while others are not allowed - and are sometimes even forced to moved to a role for which they didn't apply against their desires). Inconsistent reporting of data and legal brushes aside your questions/findings making you seem like you did something wrong when uncovering something fishy.
