Pros

Interesting and unique product. Cool projects. One of only three manufacturers in this filed, so competition is low. Good people that care about what they do. Some people including leadership have been there for over thirty years. Family feel and easy going people to talk to.

Cons

The company is on life support because of mismanagement. Profit is low, on time is really bad, and company product is not diversified. Typically you want to strive for a “from good to great" mentality, but in this case is the other way, "from good to worse". When delivery of product is prioritized based on highest revenue, is a matter of time before your customers lose faith in you in delivering when it matters. That is how bad reputation is formed, and typically customers go to your competitors that could have higher prices but better service. The facilities are old and minimally maintained. Leaky roofs, moldy structure, and seasonally felt weather because of poor, or non-existing HVAC. Some internal reorganizing and shuffling around of people and structure directed by new CEO. At this time, this company, is a financial swine that is getting lipstick and rouge in order to be turned over. The long term DOD contracts are where the value of the company is.

Pros

- Education benefits (but access/support depends on your manager) - Flexible workplace (work hours/wfh) - Diverse workforce.

Cons

- Does not support employee promotions. Very difficult to get promoted if you are not an engineer. - Low pay, salary increases depend on manager. For the past couple years, most employees did not even receive adjustment for inflation. - Constantly loses top talent because management is unwilling to invest to keep good employees.
