Pros
When you get a job with PPG, you don't have to worry about losing it. It's hard to get your foot in the door, but once you do, they try to keep you in. It's a large company, and they are currently struggling to recruit, so there is & will be lots of room for advancement now and as the baby boomers begin to retire. The pay is decent and the benefits are good.
Cons
Their way of treating employees is very outdated. Good performance ratings are restricted to a certain percentage of the company. If you and all of your co-workers do an awesome job, it looks like you're going to have to alternate the good performance reviews & bonus escalations from year-to-year. There is minimal investment in the quality of the workplace.
