Pros

Has the best group of people I can imagine working with. The company has a people, client and relationship focus. Highly ethical and partnership oriented. Committed to building long careers and technical expertise. Rewards are based on performance. Growth opportunities for those willing to work for it. Owned by the employees that have demonstrated ability to support the long term success strategy.

Cons

It takes some time to demonstrate ability to support long term success. The resulting lack of 100% employee ownership cause some to feel they are excluded. Folks looking for greater short term rewards can get restless, which is understandable. Our commitment to providing excellent total package of compensation, performance based bonus, benefits, development, growth opportunity and long term success is not always a great fit for those focused on getting maximum base compensation.

Pros

Was a genuinely great place to work. Great people and great culture. It was worth the slightly-lower-than-average pay because work life balance and benefits were great. I enjoyed going to work every day.

Cons

Poor financial decisions from upper management regarding the shareholder program led to the company's demise. Upper management sold out to WSP. Management made millions while long time employees got zilch. As someone else had mentioned, retention bonuses were unfairly distributed. Most people didn't get any retention bonus even if they had been long time employees of the company. It really felt like everyone who wasn't upper management got stabbed in the back. They got their payout then dumped the company. Still stings to this day.
