Pros
The laid back atmosphere is refreshing in the consulting world. The work is mostly challenging although it can become repetitive. There is opportunity for vertical movement, in both technical and managerial capacities. Hourly pay instead of salary allows an employee to be rewarded for extra hours worked. Great benefits with adequate paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.
Cons
Workload can become intense at times due to project deadlines or personnel changes. Up until a few years ago, there was very poor management and communication that has slowly been improving. Salaries are usually less than competitors.
