      Pros

      Very good reputation and deal flow within the middle market space. Great culture and team; work/life balance is manageable and comp is very good (in line with most Wall Street firms). Beneficial relationship as an affiliate to Plante Moran.

      Cons

      Only 3 offices currently - Detroit, Chicago, and Denver.

      Pros

      better hours than most investment banking firms, culture is good, experience is great but name recognition is almost non-existent outside Michigan

      Cons

      bad hires are kept on for way too long, comp is worse than larger firms, partners panic laid-off 1/4 of the firm Summer 2020 and is now scrambling to rehire those positions.
