PLS Financial Services

Is this your company?

Do not let them buy your loyalty. If you know what's right, stay away and move on. It's not worth it. - Director of Operations PLS Financial Services Employee Review

Pros

There was not one good reason to work here other than visiting Chicago, the expensive dinners, and the large beautiful offices over looking Lake Michigan.

Cons

SR Leadership continues to make upper 6 figure salaries and bonuses, while the field teams and other employees struggle to make ends meet. They earn all the money, high salaries, car allowances, drive BMWs, and still do not pay for their health insurance. Why does this happen and make sense? Because they are in the Pay Day loan and check cashing industry and this is their livelihood. In reality, they can't even state what PLS really means without lying about it. PLS stands for Pay Day Loan Store, nothing more. It too embarrassing to state and let the people really know what industry they represent. People, Location, Service? Let's get the true message out. Leadership is happy to take from the poor to fill their own pockets. I'm sure the CFPB is prepared to present their fines and rightfully so. Stop stealing from the unfortunate. They deserve better. Stop charging the highest interest rates, "repoing" cars ( how do you expect people to get to work to pay your high fees?) and stop believing your company is doing what's right for the people. Leadership continues to hurt people daily and will continue until the government shuts their type of legalized "loan sharking" down. Please hurry so they cannot hurt another family.

Pros

Depends on your District Manager

Cons

The lack of experience and leadership skills at the DO and above levels is apparent from day 1. Most lack the business acumen and knowledge to lead a stressful, fast-paced environment. Most of them have never held a job outside of PLS, which is not a plus. The job isn't hard, but they believe that if you don't have years in their culture, you are a liability. Most of their tenured team gets outperformed by newcomers until they're separated. A toxic culture that the VP sets. You can't get promoted if you question her directions. This particular region gets outperformed by the other regions, and that won't change! An entire group of managers left, and HR never reached out to ask what happened. Why? Because you deserve better!
