Pros

I worked here for several years, it was very painful because the management was terrible and dishonest. I stayed anyway because I worked with a team of young talented, passionate and super friendly people.

Cons

No respect from the hierarchy to the team, no contract for like a year, unpaid overtime, promise of salary increase not kept, flout of the labor right, lack of resources and organization. The CEO knows almost nothing about video game or entertainment industries and always try to make you think you do not deserve better...

Pros

My experience at Playmind has been a positive one. The team I was working with was a mix of stagiaires and experienced developers which created a cool dynamic. In fact, there was never a morning when I came into the job and didn't feel like it. Playmind remains to this day one of the places where I had the most fun working with other talented people. Is this a place to learn and grow? Yes, but like any small studio, mentoring in your field will be limited to the people you are working close to. More seasoned developers tend to leave for other companies, and the cycle repeats again, which is, in my opinion, as it should be. I am grateful to Playmind for the opportunity to work with great people on cool, small projects.

Cons

The average dev age seems to be a bit on the younger side and a lot of stagiaires are hired. This is both good and bad. It does bring in some energy into the company, but that energy is not focused and sometimes becomes latent due to a lack of leadership/mentorship by more senior developers.
