Pros

The people are all highly talented at what they do and eager to stay on the forefront of what is happening in the web world. If technology fascinates you, you are well in line with the management priorities. New concepts and ideas are always being tested and staff is welcome to participate fully. Occasional parties on the patio were fun ways to get to know your coworkers.

Cons

Due to the client driven nature of agency work, there were many days with long hours.

Pros

I've worked for PINT for 11 years. The company is on the cutting edge of web technologies, led by owner and founder Thomas Powell, who is also a university professor and industry-leading author. Lots of autonomy for employees. As a small organization, each individual contributor plays a large role and has the opportunity to be a leader within her/his area of expertise. Rewarding work and a very good client roster.

Cons

I don't have any cons to report

Pros

Veteran Web Experience, lots to learn and great mentoring from the company leadership. The web projects are generally more complex than other agencies I've worked with, so it's a good place to keep your skills sharp, level up and develop professionally. I started there with website updates and bug fixes, but by the time I left I was working on development teams and making engineering-based decisions for sites and software. People there really care about what they do and are largely supportive and helpful, and the technical standards are high. It's a smaller company, so you get to work with pretty much everyone and that was a plus for me. The company has been around a long time so it's stable compared to some smaller agencies and has good benefits and location, with an easy commute.

Cons

Smaller company, so opportunities for senior career advancement might not be internal unless the timing is right. Leads/Directors don't micromanage your work and expect you to complete it, but this sometimes means you have to ask for direction instead of just receiving instructions. Sometimes the hours are long (especially around launch dates) but it's not a constant thing.
