Pros
Company is growing and hiring more staff, so layoffs are unlikely. Still relatively small, so there are opportunities to acquire skills that would take many more years in a larger company.
Cons
Management is not generous with sharing the benefits of growth. No increases in pay, sometimes for years, even with a promotion, it is entirely discretionary and every pay increase has to be approved by the President! Bonuses for ordinary employees are paid out at less than target. Benefits are very expensive.
