Often added extra “padding” off days around holidays. Plenty of work to do!
Cons
Low pay compared to industry standards. You will do as much work as they can possibly convince you to do, but will not compensate you for working 4x harder than some of your peers. If you give 2 weeks notice, don’t expect to finish it out (especially if any of your peers know you’re leaving). Money is only on the table if you’re leaving the company (gracious raises and offers after several peers and myself quit or put in notices). There is a definite hierarchy that separates upper management from entry level and even some tenured employees. HIGH turnover, expect to train some people. Low starting wage. In my several years there I only received one raise that cost of living was identified as a contributing factor. Lots of overtime, although not required, someone will guilt trip you.
