Pros

Pro1: One of the benefits of working here was the ability to help people, in this case my co-workers. While I must say that at least two or three of the employees were indeed very happy in their jobs, many of my co-workers began to feel unhappy. This job provided the perfect platform to be able to encourage my co-workers and remind them that they can pull through and that the perfect career for them is out there! As a younger lower level employee this was a great learning experience and helped me to develop leadership skills. Pro:2 The rich cultural diversity is wonderful and provides many interesting and fun learning experiences. In the office, the various strong smells of different foods and listening to many different dialects all day was like a mini-vacation out of country. Not many people can say that about their job! Pro 3: Outside of management, education is a requirement. So, there is a lot of room to learn with and from your co-workers.

Cons

First off I am writing cons only because I really believe in this company. My only objective is to politely and honestly point out a few little things that I believe will ultimately be a benefit. Therefore, despite the very positive aspects of this company stated above: Con 1: Management does seem to inexplicably struggle with issues that could be considered simplistic to the average individual. However this goes back to the previously mentioned Pro of being able to help people. There is a lot of opportunity to help management understand the issues that they are struggling with. If you can help in that way you really feel like you're a benefit to the company. Con 2: Human Resources in particular struggles from a severe language barrier that makes it hard for employees to understand their employment rights if the employee is only able to communicate in English. This only complicates the matter that HR is also busy and overworked due to the issue of many employees leaving the company before their hiring process is fully complete. This unfairly leaves HR handling both the hiring and termination paper work simultaneously for the same individual which gets understandably overwhelming and inhibits the amelioration of the HR department as there is little time for much needed study. Con 3: There IS smoking allowed on the premises. So, if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke you may want to consider this in your decision process. Other than that no complaints!

Pros

They have a solid group of smart people who know the industry. Very flexible. Rewards hard work and effort. Lots of growth opportunities for expanding knowledge. Adapted to my abilities and focused my efforts there.

Cons

As a smaller company, processes can be challenging but given the task at hand, this is common.

Pros

The work culture is like a family as it is a family owned and operated company. There is good back and forth communication between employees and managers. The company is productive, a growing small company, with a firm hold in the industry with relationships and trust between venders and customers. The products and services are done by skilled staff, and are believed in. Salaries are competitive

Cons

The company is experiencing some normal growing pains, with demand often exceeding supply. There isn't a lot of learning curve so for employees that take a long time to listen and learn, it's going to be more challenging. The limited turnover, as referred to here by others, seems to be mostly a result of a low ability to learn quickly . Then sometimes management is too patient with an employee, giving them too much benefit of the doubt. Those are the ones that tend to be less satisfied and blame the company.
