Pros

Best capital markets learning ground in Toronto. Very happy with company approach to learning and collaborative team environment. We did a lot together and helped engineering team with several big data applications and measured impact toward the algortihm output. I liked flexibility to work on routine tasks and also on new innovation and experiments that are a bit more open ended. It was a good blend of data science, quant, excel modeling and python with very advanced software Overbond has. I could not ask for more responcibility and I got to have hands on experience. Some of my model improvements were deplyed to large Overbond client towards the end of my co-op term and that was very cool to see.

Cons

You will have real hands on responsibility. It is not a huge team so everybody relyes on eachother. We all work together and it provides for your questions to be ansewred fast. Everybod was willing to help me when I was stuck on something, including a CEO and other client facing team memebers which is very cool as I know how pressing their calendar is. I can see some students might want to have an easier term will less work, this intership was most intense Iever had but was also the most advanced and I learned the mose so far.
