Pros

100% remote job across the globe.

Cons

The organization exhibits a profound disconnect between its stated values and its operational reality, undermining both morale and execution. Key structural issues include pervasive bias and a hierarchy where critical thinking is limited by the chain of command. Decision-making is frequently unsettling, causing disruption, and the culture is characterized by passive-aggressive leadership and the maintenance of authority through fear. Furthermore, there is a clear strategic misalignment: the focus is solely on achieving an exit strategy, resulting in zero investment in engineering-driven innovation. This environment is restrictive and does not support meaningful professional growth or long-term employee development.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you value our 100% remote structure and global flexibility, it’s something we’re proud to offer to all team members. We’re sorry to learn that your experience did not align with our intended values, and we take concerns like yours very seriously. Our goal is always to create a transparent, psychologically safe environment where everyone feels empowered to share ideas and grow professionally. Over the last ten years, our organization has experienced a tremendous amount of change through mergers, acquisitions, and other structural shifts. We recognize how challenging and unsettling that can be for long-tenured team members. As a private equity backed organization, we are transparent with our global team that growth and transformation are part of our mission, whether through strategic acquisitions, continued innovation, or opportunities for investment that help us advance our goal of stopping fraud. Our actions are focused on building a sustainable and healthy future for Outseer, one that is grounded in innovation, both in our products and in how we work. This transformation requires adaptation and a willingness to evolve from how things were done in the past. We see this as a positive and necessary step forward for the organization, though we understand that not everyone will view it the same way. We’re actively working to strengthen leadership development, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and ensure innovation remains central to our strategy. Feedback like yours helps guide these improvements and supports our continued growth. We appreciate your candor and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Clear sense of mission in a critical space. Fraud prevention is high-stakes and the work feels meaningful, especially as scams continue to rise globally. Strong domain expertise across the organization. There’s deep knowledge in payments, authentication, and risk, which makes for smart conversations and thoughtful product direction. Opportunity to make an impact. The company is in a transformation phase, so there’s real room to shape strategy, influence direction, and drive change if you’re proactive. Collaborative culture. Teams are supportive and willing to work cross-functionally to solve problems.

Cons

nothinng worth mentioning at this time.
