Pros

-Decent looking UI to share with clients. -Solid sales support staff.

Cons

-Everyone rolls into a CRO who is incredibly hostile and out of touch with the market. -Unrealistic goals. -Very little product differentiation in a crowded space. -No HR, No 401k, Payroll issues.

We at OpenSlate are never happy about an employee’s negative work experience here. The many demands of a fast-growing environment (we’ve tripled our team and revenue over the past 12 months) might not be right for everyone. That said, we have experienced ZERO voluntary turnover in the past 3 years and are incredibly proud of the culture and team that’s here. Come meet us and see.

Pros

I've been at OpenSlate (aka Outrigger Media) for a year and am impressed with the product (YouTube data and analytics targeting and optimization), the leadership (smart, experienced and talented CEO, CRO, CMO and CTO), the people, the office environment and our success. I have worked at three previous start-ups and saw smart people doing stupid things. This is the best of all worlds!

Cons

Like any start-up, there are fits and starts that are challenging for employees used to working in more mature businesses. The excitement with our growth, product enhancements and success keeps us motivated.

Pros

It's fun to be in a growth environment that's not just VC-funny money, but a real business (platform called OpenSlate) that's succeeding and intensely focused on a solution that affects a really big swatch of marketing.

Cons

It is small and fast-growing, so everyone has several jobs and they're quickly evolving. Not for those who need a small and well-defined box.
