Pros
A very successful company - well ahead of all other competitors within the Great British intraday trading markets, both in terms of volumes traded and profit made.
A flat organisational structure. The Directors work alongside to us in the office and interact daily with everyone in the company, both professionally and socially. We are encouraged to propose new ideas and take our initiative and be innovative to build upon existing tools and strategies, and to develop new tools and strategies. The Directors put trust in their employees to make decisions themselves, with a resistance to there being lots of hoops to jump through to get things done. Things get done fast and effectively.
Employee's added value to the company is appreciated and fairly rewarded.
A work-from-office culture. This allows tasks to get raised and dealt with quickly and effectively. A fast learning curve for new employees via interaction with those around them, and with a big focus on on-the-job training. The office is very nice and a perfect location in central Bristol. Unlimited nice coffee and snacks!
Lots of perks! Generous annual leave quota. A social event at least once a month, all of which have been very fun. A young and energetic team.
Cons
A potential con for some may be the work-from-office culture. But personally I love this and I think it is an overall benefit to the company and to employees' work-life balance.
Compared to a large corporate energy company, some may feel the company does not provide much room for movement into different teams or areas of work.
