Some very notable individuals who were willing to go well above and beyond their compensation to aid others. Optimistic senior leadership?

Cons

*Compensation significantly lags behind industry standard. *Leadership obfuscates many key details of the position. *Significant under-staffing across all teams leads to large increase in workload, unorganized environment, and scattered communication. *Hard work is not rewarded financially, socially, nor personally. *Unpaid mandatory overtime. *Management bias is very present. *Management fails to provide employees with clear paths for advancement. *Lots of "lateral" moves when trying to advance. *Management/TLs are mostly unavailable due to meeting load *Two-faced corporate politics. *Don't take my word for it, look at what Indeed's reviews have to say.

Pros

Otava is a 30ish year old company with a lot of history, many happy that have been around for well over a decade, and many long term employees as well. Due to the # of employees and the mid-size nature of the business everyone wears a lot of hats. This means that everyone also has to be a self starter, self manager, and self motivator. For those that do well in this type of environment it is a great place to work. For those that need constant micro-management it may not be the best fit. The company always seems to be making incremental improvements in all aspects of the business. The employees and teams are all genuinely good people that want to do right by the customer and help other departments internally.

Cons

The same things that I listed as pros could also be cons for some people if they are not a fit for this size company. For me, I don't see any obvious cons

Pros

Used to be a great company before lack of strategy and changing priorities sunk the ship. Way to far behind the curve for any reasonable turnaround unfortunately they were prime to take over the industry.

Cons

Product and sales strategy is sell services to clients and then ask them to manage them on their own providing little to no value add. Pay is way under industry average and good luck getting raises even when promoted!!!
