Pros
I worked for Osmosis in a business development/junior producer role for about a year. The best part about Osmosis is the opportunity to work under the Founder, James Lawler. Beyond James' outstanding credentials as a producer, he's a dynamic, hands-on, and aggressively passionate entrepreneur. He forces you to rise to your potential and think on levels you didn't know were possible until you reflect on the work you've accomplished.
On any occasion, I would be working on developing our marketing strategy, finding new partnership opportunities, building pitch decks, creating video treatments, putting together budgets for client projects, and more. I say this not to brag, but to illustrate the variety of engaging and fulfilling work to be done at Osmosis.
Another reason why I recommend working for Osmosis is because of the circle of trust that's been built and protected by the people who work there. In addition to James, I worked with other producers including Wei, Blake, and Deana, all of whom were very humble, hardworking, and friendly people. Everyone was open to new ideas and honest feedback. While there was no room for BS, there was always room for empathy.
Cons
Osmosis can be a demanding work environment for those who are looking for a laid-back, ordinary job.
