Pros
The company is moving quickly and the team is passionate about creating a truly high quality product from end to end. It's easy to get behind the team and the product. There is a lot of room for personal/career growth and the leadership not only supports this but also gives you enough room to learn as you go. No micromanaging. The team is very receptive to feedback and listens well. We listen, internalize and take action. I gave feedback to the CEO on a Friday and by the next Monday we had a company wide change in how we work that everyone was bought into.
Cons
We're growing and moving fast with an ambitious roadmap. Like all startups - this means that everyone is tasked with both executing 100% and coordinating their piece of the puzzle. This means there's extra effort needed to keep everyone on the same page. The reward is high for this effort, but at larger companies there are people solely focused on this coordination. At Beacon (and most if not all startups) that's a part of everyone's job.
