Pros

Work from home, 401k matching,

Cons

I don't really know where to start. Since being hired, the CEO, VP of Product, CRO, SVP of Sales, CFO and many others have been laid off. The company is now being run by a new CEO and COO who are apparently trying to grow the company by down selling existing customers with a new membership pricing model. With no additional products to sell, this makes very little sense and customers feel the same way. New logo sales are non existent and Account Managers have stopped being paid commissions (and this makes sense because how do you pay a commission with a down sell strategy?) This is not a technology company, it's not SaaS and it certainly isn't innovative. Its internal systems are a mess (outdated and siloed) and with three offices and employees spread across many time zones (USA, UK and NZ) collaboration, culture and a general caring for the customer are non existent. This is by far the most dysfunctional organization I have ever worked for and what a mistake I made coming here. And one last thing; Oritain could care less about the Uyghur forced labor issue. It's just about selling more tests.

Pros

After many, many years with the business, it's been an incredible journey - and this next chapter of Oritain, for me, is the most exciting yet. Oritain offers the opportunity to work with some incredible minds, in a highly diverse, fast-paced and exciting environment. Very peronsable and approachable executive team, humble, low ego, accountable, and always on hand to support. Company has continued to support my career progression and can attest to that given my time in the business. Cliché to say but really is a company that stands behind it's values and tries to live them top-to-bottom - even during periods of transition that I've seen the company go through, but will be the first to recognise when we've fallen short. Love our broader teams, the cross-collaboration within the company, and of course, the opportunities it's provided me to travel and expand my horizons.

Cons

Can be a demanding pace at times as we continue to build out sections of the business, formalise some of our processes, and continue to grow at a rapid pace, but everyone is on hand to roll up their sleeves and support.

Pros

Some talented and hardworking colleagues operating in an interesting industry that is important and would have an impact if executed correctly. However, the gap between how the company's capabilities and progress are presented raised concerns about transparency.

Cons

Senior and middle leadership are disconnected from day-to-day realities and fail to address recurring operational issues. Ineffective communications and inconsistent decision-making with feedback rarely acted upon, leaving employees feeling unheard and disengaged. Advancement and recognition are influenced more by personal relationships than by performance, with clear signs of favoritism.
