I found the recruitment and onboarding experience to be excellent, the Talent team were great in keeping me updated regarding my application and the process was smooth through to me being offered my role. I was introduced to my colleagues on day one and made to feel really welcome and a part of the organisation by taking part in a face-to-face meeting with my new colleagues at Eversholt Street. Origin Housing has an excellent suite of e-learning that introduces you to the business and helps you to develop and progress in your role. The way of remote working has been rolled out really-well and I feel connected both to my direct team and the wider organisation, communication flows freely and although I often work remote, I never feel alone! I have a worked across a number of different organisations in my career and I can honestly say this is one of the friendliest and open places I have worked which is backed up by solid values of putting our residents and local community first. I would highly recommend!
Cons
The days can be long and we do sometimes work in a high pressure environment due to the need to provide a consistent service to our residents. You need to be flexible to work here and be able to take on new and challenging tasks that can take us out of our comfort zone.
