Pros

Nice facility, some decent people

Cons

The Ordway employment experience is one of intense virtue signaling with only lip service being paid to actual liberal ideals. This place ran more cut throat than any for profit I ever saw. Low wages, keeping people just below full time hours so you don’t have to pay benefits. They beat their chest and use all the buzzwords like diversity and inclusion and tolerance and equity, but their words ring hallow when compared to their actions.

Pros

I gained some more work experiences and had incredible co-workers. I got to run some really fun and unique campaigns which were championed by my manager before they left.

Cons

Long timers love to say "There is the right way, the wrong way, and the Ordway". Strategic management had internal turmoil, seemingly ganging up on one member of the leadership team and creating chaos for everyone. There was a problematic person who behaved unprofessionally most of the time. Their manager refused to manage that direct report. They told me that was their choice and I would need to accept it even though it was making doing my job incredibly challenging. There was a lot of managing up in this organization for mid-level managers and even administrative staff. DEI initiatives are boxes to check to make major donors and funders feel good about investing.
