Cons
1. Poor business decisions made regularly and lack of transparency around company performance. 2. The company has changed CEOs 3 times in the past year. The current CEO comes from a Marketing background is clueless about delivering tech products while at the same time unwilling to accept guidance from people hired specifically for their expertise in this regard. 3. The company has gone through a retrenchment round recently (one of many in recent years) which was followed by a mass exodus of some of the remaining employees because of points 1 and 2 above. This means an alarming amount of domain knowledge has been lost recently. 4. One of the main reason the company is still standing is because of of their biggest investors is also an investor in one of their biggest clients. 5. It seems no lessons were learned from the past failures as after the recent retrenchment, the CEO seems to believe the company failed because of the team not knowing the executives’ strategy, not the poor quality of the actual strategy itself. The solution? Everyone is expected to know the strategy (and will be tested) even those in operational positions.
