Pros
the children I work with are incredible; all they need is someone to believe that they can do well. therapists are great.
Cons
there is very little follow through from a management position. Many conversations are had and decisions are made, but the follow through with unit staff is minimal. upper management seems to run on from a business model--they care very little about individual employees. very stuck in their ways for how things should be done--there are people who are open to change, but the culture as a whole is not. supervisors often pressure overtime hours when desperate, but unwilling to pick up shifts themselves.
