Pros

straightforward interview process, given lots of responsibility quickly

Cons

Opvia (Now Seal @ seal.run) Only senior person is ceo No WLB (9-7:30, often + weekends or evening), but understandable for this stage company Terrible morale and no company perks/benefits all engineering and product decisions go through ceo who has no swe experience outside of the company bad comms structure, terrible/no swe dev practice (see ceo with no formal swe exp) so engineering and sales/fdse are constantly receiving and giving changing/random product requirements, leading to a lot of work being wasted

Pros

Great colleagues to work with. Customers doing interesting work. Some work travel. Regular away weeks.

Cons

Poor personnel management, no development of personnel, high turnover. The CEO is not interested in improving the team or particularly improving processes. The hiring process is representative of the general running of the company with a culture of no care shown towards customers by management. Staff tenure averages less than a year. The company is organised in a 'flat' structure. This means no one has seniority, authority, or accountability. All conversations must be open and all decisions must be taken by the CEO. The level of micro management is very high. There is no training within the company so different people will complete tasks differently with no optimal solution. Priorities change weekly.
