Pros
I have been with the company nearly 14 years and have progressed through at least 13 different roles in my team. Optus provides you with the opportunity to learn and grown throughout your career. Secondments allow you to "try" a role for a short period of time to see if it suits and training is offered to assist with your development. The employee discounts for Optus services are generous. There is a free bus in Sydney to/from Epping Station to the campus which makes getting to work easy. There is also a subsidised bus to/from Wynyard. It may sound superfluous, but the Christmas parties are extravagant, well planned and a lot of fun. Quarterly employee surveys mean you get to have your say about how the place is run and whether you believe we are delivering a great customer experience.
Cons
It can feel a bit Sydney-centric at times - which is great if you are working form the Campus in Sydney - but colleagues at other sites have formed their own culture and activities, which help to make employees feel included and valued.
