Pros

- Wide range of topics to write about - Higher-ups are very open to feedback - Most editors and bosses give constructive criticism - People are very smart and know what they're doing - Flexible working hours - Competitive salary and incentives - Lots of training materials and opportunities - Work is done entirely remotely - No unnecessary meetings or team huddles - Bosses are very straightforward people; Easy to approach, not toxic or difficult

Cons

- Heavy workload most days, but they tell you this before joining - Ops can be a bit vague at times regarding certain assignments - Some editors heavily edit instead of providing feedback (very rare, depends on assigned ed.) - No traditional benefits such as healthcare and gadget/internet allowance - Fewer leaves than most traditional companies

Pros

I worked with Optiwise Online for a little over a year, and i saw them grow from a small team to a mammoth operation even at a time when every other company was looking at cuts and furloughs. Optiwise works with a team of remote writers from all over the world. This makes things challenging, but they do their best to keep everyone engaged. The management is wonderful, and a lot of emphasis is given to individual contribution and growth. Its hard word, don't get me wrong, but what isn't. What makes this company different is that is no politics, the management is brilliant, they actually listen to you, and they go above and beyond to reward loyalty, hard work and discipline. I had to leave the role to become a stay at home mum, but i really enjoyed every minute there. The growth plan the company has is phenomenal at all junior and senior, and I have seen some brilliant remote writers jump one or two levels during my short time there.

Cons

Working remotely can be a challenge for some.
