Pros

I had the unique opportunity to work in a contractor position with Accuvant for 6 months before being hired on full time with the completion of the merger to what is now Optiv. I guess you could say I was able to "test the waters" before making the plunge. As with any merger, there were changes. However, what I was impressed about from the beginning was the way I felt I was being included in the changes that were being made. I was not even an actual "employee", yet my opinion was asked for various changes that were being made. I have been through other mergers and/or acquisitions with other companies and this one was by far one of the best. Seeing the processes that were being used and the communication that was going on amongst people made it a very easy decision for me to join the company when given the opportunity.

Cons

I work remotely, but I am a people person and like to put a face to a name. I would love to see more opportunities for those working remotely to get together with other people in their region. I believe this could help people have a better understanding of what other people in different areas of the company do.

Pros

Unlimited PTO Supportive Management Depending on who you get Good work life balance as long as you don't take the job with you after hours Work from Home Hands on Training - could still use improvement Annual pay increase

Cons

2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine.... Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
