Pros

There's plenty of work, pay is alright. Management is kind but strict (not a bad thing). Middle management works really hard. I've worked many different places and types of worked environments; this is not a toxic environment. There are many different skillsets that can survive and do well at OCH. It really depends on if the worker has the desire to thrive or would rather underachieve. Great for someone who really excels in task management. If your goal is a quickly ascend then this is not the place for you. There are so many different areas of the business to learn that putting in a few years is going to be the best pathway for individual growth and success.

Cons

Some people have worked there forever. This leads them to just being miserable everyday for no other reason than they are bored. Training process isn't bad just outdated and not accurate to job standards once you are placed. Lots of system integration could be overwhelming if you are not a technical person.

Pros

Compensation and annual bonus structure

Cons

Despite the fact that leadership touts patient centered care—their actions prove they only care about one thing: profits. Every metric, KPI, and action item is solely focused around maximizing profits. Severely understaffed teams and lack of support from leadership leaves teams vulnerable to mistakes. Also office politics matter way more than anything else. If your leadership likes you? You can do no wrong and everything will be swept under the rug. If they feel threatened by you? You can rest assured you will micromanaged and managed out. A once great company has morphed into a money grab. But that’s also what you expect when you have a COO who has zero operational experience.
