All about cost containment and shareholder value. Employees are not supported or valued. Worse yet, patients are not treated in the way they should be; just an income stream. Lack of sales support and leadership; communication severely lacking. Always working short. Told to get business and make your numbers but nursing is not staffed and sales staff is expected to pick up the slack. "Teach to independence" is a focus and yet there is NO POLICY to guide practice and protect all involved parties. My nursing license was not sufficiently protected. Toxic work environment; nursing leadership is aggressive, demeaning and bullying.
