NOT THE BEST COMPANY TO WORK FOR! - Senior Design Engineer Optimum Engineering Solutions Employee Review

Pros

The company tries to get involved with challenging projects but unfortunately doesn't consider it's own limitations in tools and knowledge.

Cons

Overall it was a very bad experience and due to the disrespectful interactions within the work space, I resigned just before a month after my start date. I don’t recommend this company to anyone. I had a skype and an onsite interview, where I specifically demonstrated on my skills and knowledge. I was assigned to work on a few projects on my start date completely irrelevant to what I was asked about in my interview and without being offered any trainings of any sort, what so ever. The president is always pushing the company to get involved in challenging projects without even considering the limitations of the tools the company has. The company claims to provide accurate analysis on cutting edge technology using EXCEL spreadsheets! If you are planning to work at Openso Engineering, you know need to be comfortable with overtime work without compensation, getting dismissive speeches at on a daily basis, being judged on an hourly basis, having all your knowledge and skills questioned by the CEO, micromanagement and a toxic working environment. You are expected to know everything from your start date on your own. There’s no time to learn and if you don’t know something, your whole life time education will be questioned.

Pros

Snack! on Fridays (provided by the employees and the employer)

Cons

Public shaming, verbal abuse, and bullying tactics. Such behavior creates a toxic work environment. Micromanagement. (it's supper annoying) Unfair labor practices, including the failure to pay greater rates for overtime work, and other issues. Harassment and discrimination based on educational background, ethnicity, nationality, and gender. Lack of access to clean working facilities, particularly in regard to restroom facilities. Access to clean toilets is a basic human right! Projects are boring. Definitely not a good place for those in the early stage of their career. Those need a knowledgeable mentor who behaves appropriately.
