Pros

I absolutely love this job. I've never worked for a non-profit before so I wasn't sure what to expect. The pay is a tad lower that working for a large company but the benefits out way that tremendously. As a mom of two kids I'm constantly having to adjust my hours for their activities or leave work because they are sick. My boss and team are so understanding and flexible. This company also is great with setting goals and helping you expand your career to it's fullest. I plan to be here for a very long time!

Cons

They have been around a very long time and therefore, can be a little bit set in there ways. They are open to improvements but it does take a long time to go through the motions.

Pros

Opportunities, Inc. has a great mission, with great people that truly believe in it. I have never seen such a large group of truly selfless people putting their best forth everyday to serve others, and their community. Every employee in the Connection's room deserves the most praise. Opportunities, Inc. truly has the best people, both employees, and participants alike. The joy that was brought to me over the time of my employment has been immeasurable, and everyday was a blessing to get to work with such great people that taught me such great things.

Cons

While Opportunities, Inc. has a great mission and great people that serve it, it is largely overcast by the amount of greed, arrogance, and prejudice that upper management has. Upper management does not care how much work you put in, or what new ideas you have to better the business. They believe that since they have been there the longest (and have no experience anywhere else), that they know best. And what they "know" is that the mission is merely something that helps with their image, and there is very little true care for the community they serve. Employees that pour their heart into the non-profit are treated terribly, and paid worse, while upper management gets raises the sizes of salaries they begrudgingly bargain on. Futhermore, if you are not a favorite of upper management, or are merely someone trying to do good, decent, and honest work, upper management will not even bother to acknowledge you. I would recommend separating your work and home life, because if you do not, you will be emotionally drained seeing the wrongs and excuses of these "leaders"
