You get to give people directions, and talk to random people on the street who pity you sometimes and are nice.
Cons
They functionally employee you but legally they keep you as self employed so your entitled to less legal rights, and to make you more replaceable. The whole operation in Dublin is managed by one really kind overworked person so your communication with employers is going to be really limited. The job I was given was to hand out fliers with codes for Uber Eats. They give you packs of 550 fliers and expect you to annoy people in public until you've given out at expected to hit a target about 80% of them been given out. A completely unreasonable amount that is pointless to distribute. I after my first "mission" (their obnoxious euphemism for a shift), I went into a coffee shop and found about 1/4th of my fliers littered on a table. For my next mission I handed out the same amount of fliers only to told the following day they had a "spy" sent to monitor my performance and determined it wasn't to their standard. If you have to send a supervisor to spy on employees and not actually communicate with them your doing something terribly wrong. I was told to be actively approaching everyone. Most people in Ireland simply don't care, are too old to care, are tourists so don't need the service. Or already use the advertised service so eagerly took the fliers, but that's kind of pointless advertising Chances are if you are taking this job you already know this and are going to suffer through this because you are desperate, and in that case opeizi is ready to exploit you and you have my pity.
