Pros

Tech is going through a lot of change. Not all of it’s easy, but it feels like it’s headed in the right direction. New product in the works – chance to help shape something new. People seem more aligned and actually trying to do the right thing. Teams (Dev, QA, TechOps, Infosec) are working together way better than before. There’s less tolerance for low performers or distractors now -addressing some of that was a good shift. The Java transition has been rough, but there’s real effort going into making things better. If you’re okay with change and figuring things out as you go, it’s a good place to be.

Cons

Constant change isn’t easy for everyone

Pros

Previously good management (not current), good pay and benefits, nice office.

Cons

As others have stated on here the CISO is extremely abusive. We're talking yelling, intimidation, gossip and comments about individuals physical appearance. Other employees have mentioned having to go to therapy after working with her and having to start on anti-anxiety medications as a result of her behavior. At times I felt concerned for my own physical safety and the safety of others when around her (thank goodness for mostly remote work). When employees use the internal feedback system to voice their concerns they are fired shortly after - it is clearly being used as a way to identify dissenters within the InfoSec program and terminate them. Her grasp of the English language is tentative at best - which would be fine for an individual contributor but not someone who's main job is to communicate. On top of it all she is highly ineffective, often personally slowing down initiatives, micromanaging, sewing confusion and changing direction in non strategic ways.
