Pros
Good mission for the organization, gives people in need food and helps the community out a lot. They have tons of fun activities throughout the month and the cooking/nutrition classes really help out the lower ses communities.
Cons
It was a great start but as the months went by I felt as though I was being pushed out my position. I also felt that I was being micromanaged. The manager went MIA and never responded to emails but wanted us to respond as quickly as possible. This was very unprofessional in my opinion. I was promised a raise which I never received and instead they just went ahead and eliminated my position without any warning or heads up. I was having to do other team members work because they could not finish it even though they were given ample amount of time to do so. I felt unappreciated for the amount of effort I put in for the team. The red flag should have been when 5 other team members moved on from the company after I was hired on. It shows that the work environment was toxic and not meant for people who know their worth. There is definitely favoritism that plays a role when promoting individuals because most of the people who got promoted do not deserve those roles.
