As a corporate employee, I would like to say that we have great leaders from all departments and levels including: DSPs, PCs, Maintenance, PDs, HR, Accounting, Training, Office staff, MHS, and the President of the company. He may not be in the office every single day, but he is always available and supportive to his employees. It is because we have such great leaders, that we can strive as a company in the midst of a pandemic and staff shortages. We all work together to support each other through difficult times.

Working with recipients and being greeting with smiles each day.

Cons

The training program was inadequate, with a rushed and inconsistent approach. As a result of understaffing, I was required to work extensive overtime, leading to physical and mental exhaustion. This, in turn, left me with insufficient time for personal rest, self-care, and family responsibilities. I was explicitly told that my duties took precedence over family obligations, which I found unacceptable. Additionally, I encountered unprofessional behavior from certain staff members in both corporate and residential settings, including manipulation and gossip. The HR representative exhibited arrogance and dismissiveness. The organization lacked a structured approach, follow-through, and support. Despite incomplete training, I was expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of my role, while the staff I supervised often disregarded my authority and resisted constructive change. The corporate culture was overly dramatic, with management frequently belittling employees, even when they exceeded expectations. I witnessed HR engaging in gaslighting behavior. Although recipients were entitled to dignity and person-centered care, the company exerted excessive control over their lives. I perceived the organization as prioritizing profits over the well-being of its clients and employees. Compensation was insufficient, leading to burnout. Initially, I was motivated to make a positive impact, but the company's treatment of employees ultimately eroded my enthusiasm.
