Pros
Potential for significant change and improvement. Some platforms moved to the cloud. Mostly nice people, hard working and genuinely want to make the place better. I'm up for a challenge.
Cons
So many things need to change it's hard to know where to start. Unformed or immature processes and systems. No consistent processes, most things not written down, no process improvement capability or intent to fix things. Every one is so busy doing things manually they don't have the time to consider ho things could be better. Not leveraging the advantages of cloud or virtualisation in any significant way. Lots of frustration expressed by employees but little indication they have autonomy to fix things. I'm not sure I'm up for this big a challenge.... company is carrying a huge unstated risks in it's IT systems and processes.
